First time shooting Cinestill XX which I pushed to 800 because a customer at the film lab I worked at did it and I loved his results.
I shot 3 rolls this day and pushed them all to 800. This was the only 35mm roll. The others were medium format; one of them a Catlabs roll I found buried in the back junk room at the film lab and the other was Fomopan 200. It was my first time shooting all these stocks.
My first time experimenting with my giant shutter release cable that I got for a buck.
Taken in the empty room of a roommate who had just moved out. I was so excited at the thought of an empty room to shoot in…I thought about this shoot for weeks and only had a week to shoot it until the next roommate moved in.
Bo Burnham’s “Art is Dead” played in my head as I shot these.
Shot in this room for probably 3+ hours on what felt like the hottest day of the year. Third floor bedroom with no AC, just an open window. I was shooting all around the room and sweating like crazy. I was struggling to not slide down in the photos of me leaning against the chimney.
